Clark County Wetlands Park

Parks, Trailheads, and classes!  There is something for everyone at the Wetlands! With over 210 acres in the nature preserve the wetlands are your best bet for stretching those legs and seeking some education. It offers three distinct habitats along the miles and miles of paved and unpaved trails. Bring a picnic or register for the many art classes offered monthly.

Clark County Museum

For the parents that are seeking in education, here is another gem! For a buck or two, you can spend a couple of hours exploring how Clark County came to be. You start the journey when Clark County was just giant wolves. Ok, I may need a refresher, but it follows the timeline with Native Americans and the games the kiddos played! Then Ragtown and the building of Hover Dam, all the way up the showgirls and old casino relics! There is even more outside. Honestly, this is in my top 5 Best places to take pictures in the area!

Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve

You will want to go bird watching as early as possible. In fact, the BVP is open early, even earlier in the summer months. They just added a new Butterfly Garden to compliment the 140 sprawling acres. Bring comfy play clothes, as this is not a paved trail. In the summer months, you can plan on seeing the tortoise. Be sure to ask for the Bird Scavenger Hunt!
