Jump into the new season with a fun-filled day of live music and entertainment! Some of today's best multicultural children's music artists will perform live for the first time in Henderson. Comedian and magician, The Amazing Max, will bring the laughs as guest host!
The Amazing Max has been a featured artist on "Brain Games" and magic consultant for "Gotham", “Blindspot” and "America's Got Talent". His show, The Amazing Max, has played Off Broadway and received rave reviews from The New York Times. As an actor TV credits include “Sneaky Pete”, “FBI”, “The Blacklist”, "Blindspot", and host of the Nickelodeon show “Game Farm”.
When Max Darwin was a baby he was thrust onto the stage by his street-performer parents. Now an adult, Max is one of the most sought after magic artists in the country. He has been a featured artist on Season 3 & 4 of the National Geographic Channel's hit TV series "Brian Games" and magic consultant for "Gotham" (FOX), “Blindspot” (NBC) and "America's Got Talent" (NBC).
Max also teaches kids around the world how to fill their everyday lives with wonder by performing magic with normal objects found around the house with virtual magic experiences.
Grammy award winning children’s performer Dan Zanes and Haitian-American music therapist / jazz vocalist Claudia Zanes have been making music with each other since the day they met in the fall of 2016.
Aaron Nigel Smith is a GRAMMY®-nominated producer, teaching artist and nonprofit leader and Red Yarn, aka Andy Furgeson, is an award-winning Texas-born family folk-rocker and puppeteer. Smith and Furgeson have been friends and colleagues in the Portland family music community for the last decade.
Whether standing in front of an orchestra or sitting cross legged on the floor surrounded by a gaggle of children, Etkin’s work is about imagination, expression, playfulness and emotion. It draws its strength from the conviction that the true power of music lies not just in the individual's pursuit of technical mastery but in the joyful and soulful creation of community.
Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Sonia has toured the world singing in English and Spanish and playing the guitar and jarana. Sonia was nominated in 2019 for a Latin Grammy® with her second family music album titled ¡Alegría! and has been hailed by Billboard as “one of the Latin Children’s music artists you should know” and "Best Latin Children's Music".
Sam Lemos and Jean-Francois Thibeault are songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, and professional musicians based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have played and still perform in many shows and bands on and around the Las Vegas strip. Both Sam and JF are dedicated fathers, and their combined passion for both the family life and their love of music led them to expand their musical relationship into the world of kids’ music.
