One of the best Hidden Gems (FREE) for families that love education and nature! Start the path with a Giant Jack Rabbit and end at the top of the world. (Or so my kids call it!) There is no shortage of education as placards detail fun facts about Scorpions, Roadrunners, Horned Lizards, and Gila Monsters! This is one of the places you can get some great pics of the kids every year to see how they are growing... then try and recreate it again. The path is completely paved, so a great place to walk, ride a bike or scooter, and bring your pup! There is an incline to the 1800-foot trail, but it is a smooth gradual walk. At the top of the hill, you are treated to an amazing view and a sheltered picnic table. (There is one more gigantic creation waiting at the top!)
DIRECTIONS: Upon coming into Boulder City from Henderson, make a LEFT on Yucca. (There is a Taco Bell. You will be heading towards the mountain) Take Yucca past the Train Station and Past Animal Control. Continue until you make a LEFT in the roundabout. There is your first statue; The Giant Jack Rabbit!
