Households across the nation can recieve 4 home tests!

If you are like many families, you are concerned about the new variants of Covid and how to test. I can't even keep track of the symptoms anymore. I'm pretty sure Googling Covid Symptoms is now a Covid Symptom. Great news, the federal government has launched a new program to Combat Covid 2022, FREE Covid Kits!

Households across the nation can now go online and order a kit that includes 4 individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests! These are the home tests that you perform yourself, or for your kiddos. As someone that has used the at-home tests, I can attest they are quick and can give you peace of mind.

Every household across the country is eligible for the kit. There is not any allowance for extra kits due to household size. Every 'address' is eligible for one kit. Whether you live alone or with extended family, you are getting one kit.

I suggest you order yours sooner than later. There are glitches in the system, as you can imagine with every address in the country signing up!  Error messages have been reported and COVIDtest.gov is working hard to ensure every household will receive their kit.  They do recommend if you do run into an error message try back the following day. Personally, I went right to USPS to order mine.  I had no issues. But I ordered early, as I recommend you do! (Like right now!)  There are a few different answers when asked when the kits will come. USPS site states that tests will be mailed out in late January. While Covidtest.gov states tests will ship in 7-12 days.  It may be a case of 6 of one, hald dozen of another. We will all just have to keep an eye on the mail.

I am fortunate enough to not need a covid test right this second. I can keep these tests on hand so I am not scrambling at 3 in the morning googling Covid Symptoms. I can grab a test and know in 15 minutes if the Rona has made its way into my home.  If you have an immediate need for in-person COVID testing, you have a few options. Residents of Henderson check out Southern Nevada Health District for locations around the valley while Boulder City Residents can register here for a Covid Test Monday -Thursday at the Fire Station.

If you think you have COVID get tested. If you are positive it can be very confusing what your next steps are. I can tell you the school district has set forth its own Quarentine and Isolation Guidelines. It reads like stero instructions. Days are gone when a positive test was a 10-14 day quarentine. It reads like a Flow Chart without the flow.  The best thing you can do is submit this FORM to CCSD or call the Hotline at  702-799-4322. They will guide you on the new protocols.  Stay Safe Macaroni Families!
