Remember when summer would arrive, and you would spend hours at a time playing in the backyard, digging in your sandbox? Good news! There is now a sandbox where adults can have fun and play like they are kids again. And who knew this large-scale sandbox is located right here in Vegas?

According to their website, “Dig This®, The World’s first-ever Heavy Equipment Playground® was opened in Colorado in 2007 by New Zealander Ed Mumm. Ed pioneered the “super-sized sandbox” concept providing the opportunity for the general public to command the controls of heavy equipment in a safe, fun and supervised environment.” How fun is that?

Dig This is now located in Vegas, allowing those in Southern Nevada to play in the sand.

It does not matter if you are eight years old or 108. Dig This is America’s Heavy Equipment Playground, where you can operate real heavy equipment. There are fun experiences everyone can enjoy. The Mini Experience is 70-minutes long and offers just enough time for those ages eight and up to experience the life-sized construction equipment. The Big Dig Experience is a 90-minute experience where those age 12 and older can play with an excavator, and those age 14 and up can play with the bulldozer. The Big Dig Experience is in addition to all of the other equipment available.

Did you know that Dig This also offers birthday parties? When you book your birthday party, you can bring up to ten kids, who will also be able to enjoy the thrill of operating real earth moving equipment, such as skid steer loaders and five-ton excavators. Birthday parties are a 90-minute experience that will be a big thrill for kids and leave a lifetime of memories as one of the best parties ever. Plus, you can purchase construction cakes for the party.

Dig This is located at 3012 S. Rancho Drive in Las Vegas (89102). For more information, call (702) 222-4344 or click here for the website.
