School break is coming in Henderson and Boulder City. For some of us, anticipated trips have been canceled due to the coronavirus. For others, the plan was always to stay in Henderson and Boulder City.

Hoover Dam

Please note: Due to COVID-19, guided tours and portions of the Hoover Dam are closed. However, it is still a great option to get outside and enjoy time with the family this Spring Break.
What we love: We love parking at the garage ($10 per vehicle) and walking from one side of the Hoover Dam to the other. There is so much history to experience this is one place our son loves to explore. Don't forget to bring a picnic with and enjoy lunch at the overlook area on the Arizona side of the dam.
Clark County Museum

What we love: The Clark County Museum is our favorite place to visit and explore on a Saturday afternoon. This museum gives you a look into the history of Southern Nevada and the kids are going to have a blast exploring Heritage Street, which is filled with homes showcasing different eras and lifestyles. Admission to the Clark County Museum is $2 for adults, and $1 for seniors and children.
Rail Explorers

What we love: Rail Explorers was an exciting adventure that took us on our own rail bike through the hills of Boulder City. This is a thrilling ride and you can experience one of many different tours available, including the Southwest Ramble and Evening Lantern Ride. Prices vary based on number of people in your party and which tour you choose to enjoy.
Lion Habitat Ranch

What we love: Lion Habitat Ranch is a fun experience for families offering kids the opportunity to see and learn about different animals. You are sure to fall in love with all the animals there. Ticket prices vary.
Nevada Southern Railway Museum

Hours: Daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Please note: Due to COVID-19, the trains departing the museum have been temporarily canceled, but the museum remains open.
What we love: There are so many opportunities to learn more about the history of Southern Nevada, and the Nevada Southern Railway Museum is another one of those exciting places. This museum focuses on the history of trains and railcars, including information on how they were used to help build the Hoover Dam. The museum is free to explore and train rides (when available) are an additional fee.
