Greetings everyone!
I hope this note finds you all well and excited for the many activities happening in Henderson and Boulder City this month. I know the past few months have been rough, but I am confident that as a community we can work together and bounce back once everything starts to return to normal. (Whenever that will be.) Until then, I have revamped how I publish things with Macaroni Kid Henderson-Boulder City and wanted to share some of those things with you.
The first is our events calendar. If you have not already noticed, you will find virtual events listed. You will still find a list of events that are happening in person, but for those who do not want to go out of the house we have added virtual events to help you keep the kids busy. Virtual events are marked on our Events Calendar with a computer symbol - 🖥️. If you and your family want to head out and experience some of the in-person events happening, we highly suggest you contact the venue or the organizer to confirm the event is still happening and what the guidelines are to attend. We will do our very best to keep our calendar current, however, we have been noticing some events are canceling and we are not getting notified.
The second change is I have created a plan to bring you more articles to help with all aspects of making it through the rest of the year. In each newsletter, we will do our best to include all of the following:
- A Note from Your Publisher
- A Craft Project
- A Family-Friendly Recipe
- A Local Event or Activity
- A Review of a Local Location
- A Parenting Tip
- One of Our Guides
- Something from a Local Sponsor
- Something from a National Sponsor
We will strive to do our best to ensure all of, or as many of, these are included in each week's newsletter and hop to carry this editorial plan with us into 2021. In addition, we are working on some fun giveaways which will be announced in our newsletter and on our social media. Check back in 2021 for more details. In addition to all of this, our Macaroni Kid on the national level was purchased by CertifiKID. This brings exciting changes and lots of more family fun delivered to your inbox every week. Stay tuned for more details about this.
