I love when a location tells a story and the Hoover Dam Museum is one of our favorite historical sites in Boulder City to visit. This museum tells the story of those who have braved the southern Nevada desert to build the Hoover Dam. It is located in the historic Boulder Dam Hotel, which is another place we love to visit.

During the time the Hoover Dam was being built, many of the men working on the dam brought their families and settled in Boulder City. The Dam was a beacon of hope for many during the Great Depression. This museum shares stories about life here during the construction of the Dam, as well as very informative and historical information about the area.

Why do we love the Hoover Dam Museum so much? It showcases the history of our area and is family-friendly. We can tell you all day long you need to visit, but to truly appreciate the museum, you have to go and see for yourself.

The Hoover Dam Museum is free and open to the public daily from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. The museum is located at 1305 Arizona Street in Boulder City (89005). It is located inside the historic Boulder Dam Hotel. Call (702) 294-1988 or click here for additional information about the Hoover Dam Museum.

Please note: All visitors must follow COVID-19 safety protocols set forth by the State of Nevada, local government, and the Hoover Dam Museum.
