With school starting this month, it is important for parents to know and understand the different educational options available. Montessori Visions Academy offers a lower and upper elementary program to help students grow and develop.
According to their website, the elementary school is divided into two programs because there is a big difference in children developmentally between the two age groups. Each group allows children to learn and explore in an environment that encourages him or her to use their mind to discover the world around them.
Students are encouraged to experiment and learn through independent discovery, which is the heart of the Montessori elementary curriculum. All students are able to work at their own pace with all the materials needed until they have mastered a particular skill or subject. Once mastered, they are guided to the next subject.
