Henderson, NV – At least one thing is definite during this time of uncertainty: summer fun is still available through your local library! Additional programming will continually be added to the lineup so check back frequently.

“Summer is always one of the best times to utilize your public library and even with this year’s challenges, that’s no different,” says Henderson Libraries Executive Director Marcie Smedley. “While our actual buildings have had to close, we have stepped up our digital services to meet the gaps wherever we can and to continue to provide meaningful services. The current partial reopening phase has allowed us to bring back our summer reading challenge, provide virtual programming, and offer more in-person services with our curbside pickup.”

Be sure to visit https://hendersonlibraries.com/coronavirus to learn about the new curbside pickup option. Visit the library’s website or app to reserve books, DVDs, and other items and, when these items become available, patrons will receive an email or text message, asking them to schedule a curbside appointment. This convenient opportunity allows patrons to drive, bike, or even walk to their preferred location and receives their materials in a safe and contactless manner.
