Updates from Boulder City Library

New Curbside Service Now Available!

By Heather Carroll-Landon, Publisher of Macaroni Kid SW Las Vegas & Henderson-Boulder City June 4, 2020

Closing the library was a difficult decision Boulder City Library had to make for the safety of everyone. Though there is no official date for the library to reopen, there are still plenty of opportunities to use many of the library’s resources. Boulder City Library offers a variety of virtual resources and has kicked off their summer reading program.

Starting June 1, 2020, all library card holders were able to start making appointments to pick up select library materials via their new Curbside Service. This service is currently available Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Call (702) 293-1281 for additional information and to put an item on hold. You can place up to 10 items on hold for curbside pick up.

Some materials, such as books, can now be returned to the library using a designated drop off. Larger items that must be returned inside the library, need to be held onto until the library officially reopens. No late penalties will be applied.

The re-opening process may seem slow and frustrating to some. But the library is asking everyone to be patient and they hope to see everyone safe and healthy when they do re-open.

Don’t forget. The library is open digitally 24/7 at BCLibrary.org.
