Macaroni Kid is here to help during the COVID-19 crisis

By Heather Landon, Publisher SW Las Vegas, Henderson & Boulder City March 26, 2020

Welcome to the new reality!

The publishers of Macaroni Kid Henderson-Boulder City are here to help you get you through this trying time in our community. We have worked hard to update our Events Calendar to show virtual events and activities for your kids and we have included details about local food banks and essential business hours. You will also find details on our calendar for the CCSD Food Distribution sites.

In addition to filling our “Virtual” Events Calendar, we have been putting together a variety of articles to help you and your family. Articles include everything from “10 Tips on How to Survive a School Closure, from a Homeschool Mom” to “How You Can Help Support Local Businesses” and “Going Stir Crazy? Here are 14 Fun Inside Activities for Kids” to “Talking to Your Kids about Coronavirus.”

We are dedicated to helping the community, including small businesses. We are waiving traditional advertising fees for social media posts and articles in our newsletters. We have also reduced our prices for sidebar ads and eblasts, plus we are offering a 90-day payment plan for small, local businesses. Email Heather (heatherlandon@macaronikid.com) for more details on how Macaroni Kid is helping small businesses during the COVID-19 crisis.

If you are looking for up-to-date news, ideas, and resources for your family, follow our Facebook page. We are posting new items and activities as they are brought to our attention. Or, if you are looking for a complete “Boredom Buster Guide,” check out our website for lots of information.

Please watch the CDC, the Nevada Department of Health, and the Southern Nevada Health District for the latest news. We also suggest you keep an eye on the City of Henderson, Boulder City, City of Las Vegas, Clark County and the State of Nevada for local details on the COVID-19 crisis.

And, of course, please take care of yourselves and your family. (But leave some toilet paper for the rest of us.)
