My Cowboy Boot Camp Challenge has Come to an End

By Heather Landon, Publisher SW Las Vegas, Henderson & Boulder City March 12, 2020

If you have been following me on Facebook, you may already know that I have been working on myself lately. This includes participating in a six week challenge with Cowboy Boot Camp. The challenge is now over, but that was just the beginning of my journey. Though I did not see the results I was hoping for, mostly because I have high expectations and might have cheated on my diet a bit, I did see results. Any results are good results in my book.

The way I look at it, is I have experienced a total body transformation. I might not have lost the weight, but I feel so much better and my body is taking on a different shape. I also feel like I am able to do things I never thought I could. For example, last weekend I was up on Goldfield working on a project that required us to climb around in a mine shaft. If I had not started the program at Cowboy Boot Camp, I may not have had the ability to crawl and climb, not the endurance to do so.

I lost about eight pounds total and that includes the few pounds I gained in muscle during the challenge. I may not have lost the weight I wanted, but I did go down a size in pants and lost a little more than 3 inches around my waist. To me … that’s success!

This next round, I am stepping things up. Going to the gym more often and monitoring my food intake much closer. Who is ready to join me?
