Letter from Your Publisher: Our favorite green foods

It’s March and I am starting to notice everyone is getting ready for spring. Spring cleaning. Spring events. Everything spring. And here I am excited about all things green. That’s right. I am super excited about St. Patrick’s Day! In honor of this holiday, my family and I have put together a list of our favorite green foods. 

  • Broccoli (I bake it with some olive oil, onion and garlic)
  • Green beans (Green Bean Casserole, Baked Green Beans, Fried Green Beans)
  • Zucchini (I like to make it into a boat filled with a mixture of crab, olive oil, onion, garlic and bread crumbs)
  • Salad (just about any type)
  • Split pea soup
  • Shamrock cookies
  • Avocado crab bites (I have also substituted with zucchini)
  • Spinach dip
  • Guacamole dip
  • Lemon-lime punch
  • Green Jello
  • Key lime pie

Working on this list has made me hungry! Keep an eye out for the recipes for many of the green foods we listed. I am going to start cooking and share how we make these items.
