Henderson, Nev. – Henderson celebrates St. Valentine’s Day with the Cupid’s 5K Fun Run & 1-Mile Walk, which kicks off at 9:00 a.m. at Whitney Mesa Recreational Area, 1661 Galleria Dr. The run is open to participants 5 years and up.
This is the fourth year that the City of Henderson has hosted the non-competitive fun run open to people of all abilities and fitness levels. The event features a course following the Whitney Mesa Trail.
Those interested in participating in this year’s Cupid’s 5K Fun Run may register online or in person at one of the City’s recreation centers using activity code 151234-58. The first 300 registered participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a medal. Per-person registration costs are $35 now through Feb. 7 and $40 the day of the run (cash only).
The City is holding a same-day Cupid’s 1-Mile Walk. Registration is available online or in person at one of the City’s recreation centers using activity code 151237-58. Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Per-person registration is $20 (cash day of).

The City of Henderson offers discounts to those who sign up for multiple 5Ks scheduled this year, including the Cupid’s 5K Fun Run. To guarantee a T-shirt and medal, participants must sign up a minimum of two weeks before the start of the 5K. There are no refunds. With the exception of Glow Worm, all 5Ks are held in the morning.

The City of Henderson’s 5K Fun Runs and 1-Mile Walks are part of the its Healthy Henderson initiative. The fitness, health and wellness program rewards members who participate in fitness-related classes, workshops and events such as the 5K runs, or work out at City recreation centers. Customized membership packages are available for purchase at any of Henderson’s six recreation centers and Heritage Park Senior Facility.
