Who would have thought there was a piece of Hawaii right here in Las Vegas? We had no idea such a place existed and were very excited to discover Meowee Wowee Hawaiian Shave Ice just off of Fort Apache Road. If you have yet to visit Meowee Wowee, you need to make plans to get there. It doesn’t matter if you want to enjoy their shave ice or grab a Hawaiian-inspired sandwich or salad, there is something for everyone in the family. We enjoyed two mouthwatering sandwiches, while our son enjoyed a cotton candy shave ice. (I stole a spoonful and it was so yummy!)
We started our dinner off with some pineapple salsa and chips. YUMMY! Then my husband enjoyed the Kalua Pork with Pineapple Jam with a side of Macaroni Salad and he loved every bite of it. I had to quickly steal a bite from him so I could try it out too. The Pineapple Jam was so sweet and amazing, it was a great compliment to the pork. I enjoyed the Roast Beef Sandwich with a side of the Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips. I normally do not put onion or cheese on my roast beef sandwiches, but since it came that way, I thought I would give it a try. You know what? It was so worth it! The red onion, horseradish sauce and goat cheese were such an great addition to the sandwich, I don’t think I will eat it any other way. 
If you go for lunch or dinner, make sure to save room for some authentic Hawaiian Shave Ice or a traditional Dole Whip in pineapple. They even have lime. You will be missing out if you do not save room for dessert.
Another fun, unique part of Meowee Wowee is their line of fun, unique gifts you can purchase while there. Our favorites were their soy candles, lava wax melts and room sprays. These are sure to bring the smell of Hawaii to your home. Our son’s favorite scent was Monkey Farts and to be honest, I liked it. These home fragrance items and other Hawaiian-inspired items are perfect for your home and to give as gifts.
I have never been to Hawaii, but truly believe that this place gives you a feel of being on an island oasis. It was so laid back and the food was so delightful. We plan to go back many times, while we plan our Hawaiian vacation. Yup...dining at Meowee Wowee gave us the travel bug.
Meowee Wowee Hawaiian Shave Ice is open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. until 8 p.m., on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. and on Sundays from noon until 6 p.m. This location is closed on Mondays
