Macaroni Kid Mom Approved: Ethel M Chocolate Tasting Room

By Heather Landon, Publisher SW Las Vegas and Henderson October 30, 2017

Recently we had the opportunity to experience the Chocolate Tasting Room at Ethel M Chocolate factory here in Henderson. All I have to say is “YUMMMMMY!” If you have not had a chance to experience this unique tasting, you are going to want to make time. This is definitely something everyone in the family can enjoy together. Especially if you love chocolate.

Upon our arrival at Ethel M, we were taken into the Chocolate Tasting Room. It was a chocolate-themed room, located just off to the left of the entrance into the factory/store. During our 30 minute demonstration, we learned about how chocolate is made and some history about Ethel M. During the actual tasting portion of the experience, we were able to taste chocolate samples, including vanilla truffle, peanut butter, pecan caramel rapture and lemon satin cream. My favorite was the pecan caramel truffle, while my 13 year old son loved the vanilla truffle. (We even had to pick up some more on the way out at the store.)

After the tasting, we took some time to walk through the factory. We could see all the workers in action behind the glass wall, which gave spectators views of the factory floor. It was a fun experience. Afterwards, we spent time walking through the Cactus Garden. (We plan to go back when it is all lit up for the holidays...and you need to put it in your holiday plans too. It is an amazing holiday experience for the family.)

In the end, we all decided that the Chocolate Tasting Room at Ethel M is a must-experience for the family. It is definitely Macaroni Kid Mom approved!!
